This work trip to Tennessee is happening from June 7-13, 2026. We will be staying at a local church in Elizabethton, Tennessee, and meals will be provided.
Through the generosity of Fellowship donors, the $100/person expense for this trip can be covered for you. If you would like to help cover your costs please make your payment when registering. (This payment will not show on your annual giving statement.)

SITE INFORMATION: This area of Tennessee was devastatingly impacted by Hurricane Helene on September 27, 2024. The category four hurricane brought heavy rains and winds, causing flooding and landslides. A total of 17 people lost their lives as a result of Hurricane Helene in Northeast Tennessee, and an estimated $25 billion in damages was incurred. Many homes, roads, bridges, critical services, and public service buildings were damaged or destroyed. For more information, please click HERE and HERE.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Housing is provided for volunteer work teams at one of several local churches in Elizabethton, Tennessee, depending on availability and work assignments-- Calvary Baptist Church or East River Park Christian Church. Volunteers will have access to sleeping spaces (Sunday school rooms with cots), bathrooms, a shower trailer, a lounge area, Wi-Fi, and a well-equipped kitchen where groups can prepare and enjoy their own meals. If another group is scheduled during the same week, your group may be sharing some common spaces with others.
MEALS: Your group is responsible for your own meals and food.
WHAT TO BRING: Sleeping bag/bedding, pillow, towels and toiletries, work clothes, closed toed work shoes (no sandals on work sites), work gloves, safety glasses, lunchbox or cooler, sunscreen, bug spray, water bottle, clothes for after work, first aid kit, Bible, etc. Please connect with Ralph for further details regarding what to pack.
AGE REQUIREMENT: 14 years old and older, youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
RECONSTRUCTION WORK: Work projects will be largely focused on homes that have suffered damage from Hurricane Helene. Potential projects may include debris removal, drywall, framing, painting, flooring, cabinetry, siding, building ramps, weatherization, and more. Tools are provided, though you are welcome to bring additional tools from home (clearly label them with your name). Please note that depending on the size of your group and the nature of work, groups may be split into smaller work groups on jobsites. Further details regarding the specific nature of the work your group will be doing will become available as your week of service gets closer!
